Youth Art Project

People to People Delaware participates in an annual youth art project. Local award winning artist, Eunice Lafate, helps local children to translate their ideas of peace into visual concepts that bring the theme to life in their artwork. The children's artwork is traditionally displayed at various places all around the world to promote Peace Through Understanding and we are very proud of this community event.

Enjoy the vibrant art and thoughtful messages from the students shown below!

We would appreciate your donation to support the costs of this program in promotion of this valued project.

HOPE AND RESILIENCE: A PATHWAY TO PEACE

People to People Delaware is proud to sponsor an annual Youth Art Program in New Castle County.

We strive to promote the values of peace, diversity and global engagement, as well as foster interest and confidence in creating art. Ms. Eunice LaFate, an award winning folk artist in Delaware, and a key member of our team, has participated in all of our Youth Art Programs. She believes that everyone is an artist and her energy and creativity inspires students in their artistic endeavors.

PTPDE is pleased to have partnered with the Boys and Girls Club of Delaware and local schools and community groups offering this program to both middle and high-school students since 2019.

Each year we tailor the project and theme around current events and resultant opportunities to spend time with local children with a focus on promoting peace. These engaging and impressive murals, along with other Delaware and international youth murals, are displayed each year in October at our Peace Week event at the Academy for Peace as well at our PTPDE Annual Meeting in June. PTPDE is very grateful to the Delaware Division of the Arts for grants and to our Members and Donors for donations that support this program.
